Things I don't Understand

This is just a random list of things that have absolutely made no sense to me whatsoever in the last week.

After the first couple happened in the short time frame, I knew I had to keep a list.

You're Welcome.

These are in no particular order.

1. My boss wants to make a copy of some drawings, there are 6 pages. Instead of placing them in the feeder, he does each one individually on the glass. I could have made him 4 sets of copies by the time he made one.

2. I was running late to school today, I left the house about 10 minutes later than usual. So when I arrived at my destination I should have been 10 minutes later than usual. Instead I walk into the classroom at 7:46. I don't get there that early when I leave on time.

3. A co-worker whines that he has no money. His rent, utilities, cell phone and salary are all paid by the company we both work for. He pays for his truck, groceries, internet and cable. If that's all I paid for I'd have lots of money.

4. My husband has been unemployed for almost a month. He doesn't have any real hobbies (at least ones that he can do in the house, like hunting). So other than job searching and a few additional chores around the house he hasn't done much. I'm surprised he isn't crazy. Him being at home with no paycheck is making me crazy.

5. I'm cooking dinner for my mom for her birthday on Saturday. Although her birthday is officially tomorrow, I'm doing everything Saturday, because between work and school we wouldn't be eating until Midnight if I did it tomorrow. So I called her yesterday and wanted her to tell me what she wanted fixed for dinner. After an unbelievable amount of time she finally hem-hawed around to picking something out. It's just food. That you don't have to cook. Don't annoy the daughter person.

6. Telemarketers. We get a ton of these people calling at work to "save us money". They don't realize that half of the time I don't listen to their spiel because I'm busy doing homework. Yet, when we politely tell them 'no, thank you', they can't just walk away. They continue to push and haggle with us that their service is better or longer lasting. Yet to get that price we have to buy 4+ cartridges of toner. Um, I've worked here almost 4 years. We have replaced the toner twice. The last replacement was about 2 months ago. I'm pretty sure that 4 cartridges won't last 10 years, which is approximately how long it would take us to use them. Heck, it would probably be at least 18 months before we even needed the next one.

7. I love professors who give you reviews and tons of information about what is going to be on upcoming tests. Then you don't walk it and get your exam and wonder if you are in the right place. Because that feeling and failing grade sucks. However, we are college students. As an older 32 year old, I hate that we are babied. The real world doesn't work that way. Your boss isn't going to care if you stayed up until 2 am partying and the guy next to you has spent the last week working on the project. I want the grade I earned, not the flashbacks to high school. It's about time someone treated college students about how the real world works. Let them, and us earn the grade we earn.

8. Whoever made up world problems should be shot, buried, then dug up and shot again, just for good measure. I do great with numbers. But company A does such and such with 2000 and they had this much here and that much there and here's some information that you don't know what it has to do with anything but they are going to randomly throw it in there just to make you crazy. Bastard.  I understand numbers. Not words with numbers. It's either one or the other people, not both.

9. What's up with the not sleeping through the night? I would imagine that stress has something to do with it. But it's making me tired and grumpy. And when I'm tired and grumpy the high point of my day typically involves killing someone or something. So Mr. Sandman, would you please pay me a visit, every night. Please. Because this waking up to look at the clock several times in the middle of the night is really pissing me off.

And last, but certainly not least:

10. Sometimes I'm reminded about how much people can change. How life experiences and life in general can change our lives. I'm sad because it means that I've lost my friend that I knew, yet at the same time, I wonder if perhaps neither one of us were ever the people we thought we were in high school. 14 years is a long time. A lot can happen. A lot has, a lot still will.

The crazy in my head...and my life

The ship with all the free time on it...she sailed off. What a pain in the oar.

You can stop groaning now. It wasn't that cheesy. Ok. Maybe it was.

The homework boat has set up and she doesn't appear to be moving. I could use some dynamite. That might blow her out of the water. It also might blow my head up, so let's rethink that plan.

I'm busy. I'm covered up in homework, and I don't know what to write about. I don't want this blog to be all, school, school, homework, school...you get the point.

I sat down last night, when I should have been doing homework, and I re-read some of the posts that I wrote a year ago. I miss those posts. I miss that person. Maybe I'm still trying to compare myself to other blog writers and maybe I'm still telling myself that I don't measure up. Lord knows I do it often during all these classes. With all these babies. I feel way out of my league. They make me feel so...old.

My birthday is next week. A week from yesterday in fact. I'll be 32. It's September. Which is 3.5 months from Christmas and I haven't done any shopping yet. I'm usually almost done by now, and I haven't even started.

I think of all these awesome posts, and then I talk myself out of writing them. I have to quit doing that. I have to stop being so worried about what you think, about what the rest of the world things and only worry about what I think.

Sorry for the randomness. I can't sleep. I'm stressed. I'm tired. I'm annoyed. I'm questioning everything, like I always do around my birthday. I'm feeling sorry for myself, because let's face it, my life isn't the perfect little life I would like for it to be. So just bare with me while I try to figure it all out.

Tomorrow is Friday. And I promise to shed this depressed whiny self between now and Monday. Because I have a giveaway for you to get all excited about next week!!!

Things I have noticed (that I would rather not)

I have debated over the last few weeks, with school back in session if I am getting old or if people younger than me are just crazy. I think it's both. Here is a list of things I have noticed recently. These are in no particular order.

- Mi espanol professora. (She would be so proud.) (But then again probably not if she knew that's about all I know how to say.) We can call or text her until 3am. 3.A.M. At that time of night I like to have been sleeping for several hours by now. I would love to be able to get by on 4-5 hours of sleep and still be a happy, functional person. I'm not happy unless I'm in bed by 11. I'm not happy or functional without at least 7 hours, preferably more.

- Shorts. I wear boyshort underwear. There, I said it. Now you know what kind of panties are under my clothing...happy? They cover the butt cheeks. The shorts that I see most of the girls at school wearing barely do. You people would be appalled if I let all my cellulite, stretch marks, varicose veins and fat hang out like that. I'm appalled that you let your butt cheeks hang out. If you don't want to see mine, then the odds are very, very, very high, that I don't want to see yours either.

- Skinny Jeans + Boy = uh no. Don't do it. Skinny jeans and boy don't even belong in the same sentence. This is just...ew.

- Boys I don't want to see your "drawes". (Thank you, to the guy sitting behind me in math for correcting my pronunciation, I've always wanted to sound gangsta.) Your boxers, briefs, or lack there of is not something I want to see. If I wanted to see "drawes" I would unzip my pants, or my husbands and look at his.

- Gangsta. I'm almost 32 years old. I don't want to talk gangsta, I don't want to sound gangsta, I don't want to look gangsta. So, once again to the guy sitting behind in math, "let me borrow your stick" makes me want to hand you a tree branch, not a pencil.

- Why does everyone wait until Saturday to go to the grocery store? Go a different day. It's easier. That way I can still go on Saturday and beat the crowds. m'Kay? Thanks!

- I made a copy of my schedule and gave to my boss, my other boss, the shop foreman, the installation guy, and there is a copy on my desk. Yet they all still ask me what my hours are for the following day and if I can skip classes. I can skip anything if you pay me enough. I am not above bribes, but my lowest price starts with three zero's, before the decimal point. Hey, don't judge. When I graduate I'm going to owe tons in student loans, if those bribes will pay for my tuition so I don't have to rely on Uncle Sam, then by all means, bribe away.

- Does TTU funnel something into their buildings that makes you need to pee and thirsty all the time? Because I swear today alone I have had like a glass of milk, 2 bottles of water, a diet coke, a large iced tea, 2 more bottles of water and I'm working on #3 bottle of water as we speak. I feel like all I do is study, pee, and drink.

- Where are all the frat parties at? Because I really want to crash one.

- Where is all the wild sex at? Because I'm pretty sure that when things get really busy with school, my husband and I start scheduling things in. "So, I have 10 minutes on Tuesday, from 6:50 to 7." I he reads more about sex on my blog than he actually has sex. That brings screwed to a whole new meaning doesn't it?

- To the friends and family I've recently "came out of the closet about the blog with", I'm sure that after that last observation, your wishing that I had kept my secret. Or that you could wash your eyeballs out with bleach and erase those mental pictures that are permanently burned into your mind.

You are so very welcome.

2 weeks from today is the big B day. It's also going to be close to my 200th post and to my first giveaway (that I can hopefully give away this time). Look for tomorrow's post about the giveaway that wouldn't go away. Stay tuned for the awesome giveaway!

Hacked by a Hacker

Wow, what was up with that post yesterday? Whiny? Grumpy? Feeling sorry for ourselves?

I'm going to blame it on a hacker. Yep, that's it, I was invaded. By the body snatchers. And they typed that up and posted it without my consent. Exactly.

That's my story. And you don't have proof that it wasn't me.

Here is a bulleted list of complaints. Just so I can get it all out of my the hacker's system.

- Can believe that it's August? I haven't even started my Christmas shopping yet. I have like 4 presents taken care of. Period. And I start back to school 3 weeks from today. Everyone may get gift cards this year, and chocolate.

- I know I have unpacked my back pack. I have seen my back pack. But I don't know where I have put it. I'm starting to wonder if I really unpacked it. Or if I am crazy. Or both.

- I'm having a garage sale this weekend. I think I was delusional when I decided that. Good news is, my garage will be empty after Saturday. So if your in Lubbock look for the garage sale on 96th Street on craigslist and in the paper and come see me.

- I'm pimping out my Scentsy business on Saturday too. All of the other consultants do it when they have a garage sale. I have lots of plans for the old books that I have that won't be any good the end of the month too. I'm going to try to pick me up some new customers and earn enough to hopefully pay for my tuition for summer school next year.

- Who am I kidding? I may need the money to pay my tuition next month. All the budget cuts have me concerned about my student loans. I'm trying not to worry, and just have faith that things will all work out. But the worry wart in me, isn't buying it.

- Grocery shopping. It's expensive and I hate it. Can't United set up online shopping and delivery?

- Ug. I have seen a number on the scale this week that I don't ever want to see again. Been trying harder to watch what I eat without watching hard core yet. Mostly because I need to set up some plans, but this fat has got to go. It's either me or it.

- We are going to Abilene to see my niece and nephew next weekend with my parents. The kids start school soon, and because of divorce proceedings, still can't leave the county. Because of the way that my niece behaved when we saw them in January I'm not looking forward to it as much as I would like to.

- I told family about this blog. I'm not sure if I should regret that yet or not. I haven't sent her the address, I'm working up to that.

- To not have completely finished unpacking yet. We moved June 17th. Past moves have never taken this long to unpack. I'm tired of it. I'm also tired of the mess. I'm running out of time to get it all done before I start back to school. After the garage sale, we are packing everything up that's left (which is hopefully nothing) and taking it all to goodwill. Then the rest of the weekend will be spent cleaning up the garage and finishing unpacking.

Sea of Boredom

I'm drowning. Help! Please! I'm drowning in a SEA OF BOREDOM!!!!!

Things I possibly have done to have something to do at work:

1. I have taken the little "dots" that are left in the hole punch and made towers out of them. Gluing each piece of paper together to make a tower.

2. I have drawn cartoons. These cartoons are rather dark and gruesome because they all involve shooting something.

3. Twirling. Round and round and round and round. This one just made me want to vomit.

4. Played with today's Google guitar. A lot.

5. Facebooked, craigslisted, blogged.

6. Thought about all of the stuff I could be doing at home like packing.

7. Paid the cable, internet, insurance, and phone bill.

8. Discovered I needed a sugar daddy after paying said bills.

9. Tried to text message with my husband, but he is busy at work and his messages end up saying things like "I want to can you." And no, that isn't referencing anything related to sex.

10. Tried to figure out how many sticky notes it would take to wall paper the area behind my computer.

11. Wished I hadn't packed all my books so I could bring one to work to have something to read.

12. Worked for approximately 14.8 minutes.

13. Hoped a telemarketer sales-person would call, so maybe I could get them to talk to me on the phone so I wouldn't be so bored.

14. Didn't have to lie to get this list to #14.

15. I drilled a hole in my notepad with a pocket knife.

I've been out of school for a month today. I'm not sure how I'm going to survive the next 2.5 months before I go back.

I'm back!!!

Your going to get a quick catch up and then a whole lot of other stuff.  Be patient. Now I just have to figure out what to write, not squeeze time in to do it.

-I survived my first semester at TTU. Barely. I still have all of my hair, part of my sanity, and even managed to lose weight instead of gaining it. Go me. Now if I could just get my instructors to post my grades.

-John's Grandfather, the one I wrote about here and here. Passed away last month. We were sad to lose him, but we know that he is no longer suffering from the effects of the cancer treatments.

-His passing opened up a whole new can of worms with my in-laws. (Not to worry, LOTS of rants posts coming.

-My parents are still speaking to me, even after I have spent the better part of the last few months ignoring them.

-I have one friend left though. So would you be my friend? I'm accepting applications. The pay sucks, but the fringe benefits are awesome.

-I only had one close friend before, so don't really believe what I just posted above. Except the applications part. I could always use more friends.

-Bailey, the boxer that rescued me, had to be put to sleep. We think that he had a stroke in the middle of the day while we were at work. He couldn't move and couldn't stand. It was awful, and I miss him.

-I'm so bored at work that I think I might just go insane. This is the first day I have worked since I started school that I haven't had homework. Is it sad that I'm ready for school, to start back up, just so I have something to do at work? What's sad about that is I took my last final, less than 24 hours ago.

-Trust me, you don't want a job like this. No, you don't. It's not that awesome. I'm pretty sure that I've been here 120 hours today alone. Even though the clock says 6, it lies.

Gimme the rest of the week to recoup, but I guarantee that you will have plenty of posts to read from the crazy* lady next week.

* - and by crazy I know that you mean sweet, loving and most awesome blogger ever. (no I wasn't compensated in anyway to write that. Why do you ask?) Why are you looking at me like I'm crazy?

Lesson 1243 in Randomness

-I'm tired.  Of school, work, life in general, cooking, cleaning.  This list is endless.  I need a vacation to a tropical destination.  And liposuction.

- Apparently I'm going to have a giveaway I can't giveaway.  Go comment people!

-Looking forward to, and slightly dreading, my graduation dinner tomorrow night.  My sweet husband was/is going to cook steaks on the grill in 34* weather, with possible snow.  I offered to change the menu.  His only response, what that "real men grill in the snow." Um..ok.  Real women know better than to stand outside in 34* weather, that's probably why we live longer.

-Not looking forward to coming to work on Friday.  I'm sure that the a/c will kick on at least once before noon.

-I posted an ad on Facebook about needing a hit man for our a/c unit at work.  Didn't have any takers.  Apparently I need to offer better stakes.

-I bought an electric blanket in hopes that I wouldn't freeze at night, or early morning when my husband gets up way before I do.  He has totally ruined my faith in men and their ability to get ready to go quickly.  I usually wake up before he comes in to crank the heat up on my blanket before he leaves.  This delayed reaction from him, could be the fact that I think he is using my anti-wrinkle cream, lotion and other "girly" products.

-Maybe I need to set up a hidden camera to see what really goes on in our bathroom.  Then again, maybe somethings shouldn't be known.

-I have bad news for him, the blanket will stay on our bed year round.

-Saturday is our anniversary.  We will have been married 11 years.  It's hard to believe that it has been that long.  Look for a special post on Saturday.

-I have a final paper that I should be working on, instead I keep trying to squeeze out things to post here, so I can avoid it for a while longer.

-Looking forward to seeing my niece and nephew for Christmas in January.  Assuming my plans to take over the world continue on.

-I will abolish all homework when I take over the world.  I will also make dishes self cleaning, laundry automatically cleans itself, and cars that never get bird poop on them.

Cold Medicine - The Legal Drug

WARNING: Read at your own risk. I have taken large quantities of "day" cold medicine that is not supposed to make you drowsy or goofy, and apparently they lie.

But writing a blog post sure beats writing a paper on ethics. Especially if you don't have many. Papers that is, not ethics. I'm pretty sure I have ethics, but the cold medicine is making me do weird things, so I can't really vouch for anything right now. Except that I'm still sarcastic, apparently you can't get rid of that.

I'm typically not much of a procrastinator, and I'm really not procrastinating on homework, it's not due until Thursday. So you can tell me I'm procrastinating. Well, you can, but I'm not listening.

Cooking dinner. I get in the mood to cook, which I told my husband the other day was kinda like sex (sorry mom). Sometimes you are in the mood, and sometimes you aren't. When I'm in the mood, I could cook all sorts of stuff, but when I'm not in the mood, making a sandwich is too much cooking for me. Anybody else out there feel like that?

Why do people think if it's alive you can eat it? Snails? Frog? Eel? Octopus? What happened to just sticking with farm animals. If you can't find it in Old McDonald's song, then you probably shouldn't eat it. And a few things like the kitty, and puppy that you shouldn't eat that are in the song. Hmmm...that just took an intersting turn, and reminds me about Chinese food.

Why are there black and blue berries, but Strawberries and Raspberries are not named after colors? We could do red berries and fushia berries. Why are strawberries and raspberries so special that they aren't color named?

See, I'm telling you that cold medicine makes you crazy.  Please don't point out that I'm like this all the time.  You can keep that little tidbit to yourself.

Life Trucks On

Well, I would love to have something funny, mildly hilarious, or even slightly thought provoking for you today.  But instead my brain is swimming around with carbohydrates.

Thanks homework for sabotaging my life, and apparently this blog post too.

How about a few updates then?  It's better than something crazy that I might come up with instead.

-John's grandfather is trucking along.  After more testing he has cancer on a lung as well as his liver.  He has began chemo treatments and seems to be handling them well.  He will continue those for a few weeks before he has more scans and tests to see how the cancer is reacting.

-Bailey.  The boxer that we rescued.  He is still living with us.  A part of us wants to keep him, and a part of us wants to see him go to a home that doesn't have another little mean dog like Blaze.  They get along fine, when no one is looking.  If Blaze catches you looking those kisses that she was just giving him turns into snarls and growls.

-I still haven't heard anything on my application yet.  They have had it since Monday, surely they have read it and realize how wonderful I am, and they want me to join their campus.  Plus, they could sure use the money.

-I'm looking forward to Thanksgiving, mostly for the days off work.  I'm tired of homework and work.  I just have a case of the blah's.  I would wish for excitement, but it usually isn't the kind that I want.  So we will keep the blah's, thankyouverymuch!

-I'm still not finished with Christmas shopping.  However, I am finishing off my grandfather's gifts this weekend.  Amazingly so I only have 6 people left, and a couple of "extras" in case someone else should pop up that I'm not prepared for.  So, it's not quite as bad as it seems.  Plus, based on circumstances that my niece and nephew are currently facing, I would like to do a little more for them than I have done.

-Debbie and her husband are getting a divorce.  I'm sad for them, and their children.  I'm also thankful that I'm married to a good man, and that after almost 11 years we still have a good, solid relationship.  I'm sad that one or both, depends on who you talk to, had done childish things to "hurt" the other person.  They are forgetting that there are two children whose lives will be forever changed and impacted by the decisions that they make, and by how "adult" like their parents act.

-I've been cooking new recipes again.  I have been taking pictures of the final results.  But not step by step pictures.  Mostly because some of this cooking is taking place at night, and I don't want the pictures coming out "yellow" because I'm not using natural light.  Although twice this week, I took the pictures outside before it got dark.

-Well, now that I'm not thinking about carbohydrates and the retarded presentation that I have to work on this afternoon, I think I'll go fix my lunch and hope that this afternoon is interruption light, because I have to do my homework and my husbands.

-I'm going to be participating in some other blogs "theme days" for a while.  I'm just so overwhelmed with work and school, that without a little guidance, you will be lucky to get monthly posts.  Look for the first one tomorrow!

~Life is not the way it's supposed to be.  It's the way it is.  The way you cope with it is what makes a difference.  ~Edna Ellison

When Life Gets in the Way

I had planned on writing on this blog at least on a daily basis Monday through Friday.  Yet, the last (gulp) 2 weeks have seen no new posts.

I would love to tell you that I won the lottery and was busy getting my affairs in order, but that didn't happen.

I would love to tell you that I was just so swamped at work and at school that I just couldn't find the time to write one measly post.  But, I can't.  In fact, I begged my husband for some of his homework, so that I had something to do at least once the past week.  I/He got a 100 on the assingment by the way.

I would love to tell you that Giada from the Food Network called and that I have been busy filming my own TV show, but sadly, not happened.

So instead, let me tell you a few little boring tidbits of what I have done, and catch you up.

1.  I make at least 3000 cookies for a family reunion this past weekend.
2.  I have written a nutrition paper, an environmetal science paper, and I have done my husband's accounting homework.
3. I have made flowers for potholders, that at this point, I'm wondering if I'm ever going to finish them.
4. I have anxiously awaited the posting of grades so I could apply to the new college in the Spring.
5.  I have watched TV, and otherwise slacked off.
6. I did help assemble a cool deer blind that my grandfather made.  I'll post pictures as soon as my husband emails them to me.  They are on his phone.  Thanks Honey!

See, my life isn't so exciting after all.  I'll try to do better.  I promise.  Besides, it's something to do at work.  : )

This Week's Random Post Brought to You by...

-To finally be getting excited about getting excited about switching schools.  I'm still worried about some changes that will have to be made, but otherwise I'm happy that I have made the switch.

-To be thankful that this block of classes is almost over.  This has been one of the worst blocks of classes I have had since I started.  Only 1 more to go, until I'm a college graduate.

-To dread the fact that I haven't really "started" Christmas shopping yet.  I'm usually close to being finished by now, and I have barely started.

-To wish that I liked to shop so that Christmas shopping didn't suck so bad.

-To wish that I knew what to get the people on my Christmas list this year.  I don't have a clue, and it's worse this year than any year before.

-I'm disappointed that a weekend getaway that my husband and I were trying to plan isn't going to happen.  I could have used the time away to de-stress a little, and spend some time with my husband that didn't involve homework.

-To get really pissed off when companies are making sales calls and I tell them that so and so isn't here, and they hang up on me.  Yeah, he won't buy anything from you now.

-To wish I knew what to fix for dinner that would sound and taste semi appealing.

-I need to work on some homework, but I think I'm going to look for new recipes instead.

-To have found what my parents are giving me for Christmas, they just don't know it yet.

-To be very thankful that tomorrow is Friday and that I can sleep in Saturday.

-I found my spell check, but I can't figure out why my husband is getting facebook notifications on his phone, when they all appear to be turned off.  Maybe I can fix that soon too.

Lessons in Randomness

I have tried to write a post for today, for well over an hour. I have started 3 separate posts, all, which I thought, would end up going somewhere, and after 2-3 paragraphs, they just sort of fizzled out. One of them died before I even got my introduction typed. There are so many things that have happened in the last week, that I’m not sure where to start, or even how to vocalize them. So this post is probably going to be a lesson in randomness.

I read several other blogs that I follow this morning, and I always feel like my life is so much more boring and less noteworthy than there lives are. I don’t know why I feel the need to judge myself, and my life on the fact that I don’t have kids who I can use for blogging material. My life this week has revolved around Friends and crocheting flowers for a set of potholders that was in my UFO (un-finished object) basket. Oh, and a presentation for my Environmental Science class that is due today, that I still haven’t finished.

I finally had a good heart to heart conversation with my husband about school. The sad thing is that the majority of this conversation took place while we walked around Walmart and picked up a few groceries and a prescription. I still have my moments where I freak out about the choice that I have made, but on the other hand, I found myself getting slightly excited about the new direction that my life is heading. It’s definitely been a leap of faith into the unknown, and I was feeling really good about my decision after a conversation with my boss yesterday. Then this morning my husband mentions he told his mom the direction that I was headed, and she seemed surprised/disappointed (my impression from him) so know I have my doubts again. I really need a crystal ball. Maybe I’ll put that on my Christmas wish list.

Christmas is 2.5 months away, and I’m nowhere near finished with my shopping. I’m not even close. I’m usually at least halfway done by my birthday, and this year, I have 3 people completely marked off my list. There are approximately 25 people. That doesn’t include the plans I had for the guys I work with, or the guys my husband manages. Although the worker bees were just getting homemade food. Cookies, candy, yadda, yadda. They are all guys, most of whom are single, or they are married and their wives can’t cook to save their life. They all love me when I do this, plus I get to cook, I don’t see anything wrong with this picture. I think about this every few days and freak out, because I don’t even have a clue what to get most of these people for Christmas. This year may be remembered as “The Year of the Gift Cards”.

I spent most of Thursday wishing I could either barf, or that my stomach would have magically felt normal. I’m not sure what the deal was, but several times yesterday I thought dying would have to feel better. I’ve wondered, and after taking dairy digestive supplements that help people with lactose intolerance, I’m wondering if I haven’t developed sensitivity to it. Milk makes my stomach ache like I have been punched, and other things produce unpleasant side effects. I know that I really need to talk to my doctor about it, and I will, when I go see her, in November. But until then, I’m not eating cheese stick chicken and a milk shake for dessert a few hours later again.

Our living situation and plans have changed, and they will remain “unknown” until I actually start school the end of January. I’m hoping that we can work things out and that things will go a certain direction, but we are still moving forward with our new furniture purchases. We are having our new couch and chairs delivered in a few weeks. We still need bedroom furniture, and tables for our living room, but I’m excited that progress is being made.

This weekend we are going to a local “Harvest Festival” and do a little shopping at an antique store for a specific gift. Plus they always have Precious Moments Figurines, and a girl can never have too many of those. My aunt and her boys will be in town too, and I'm looking forward to spending time with them as well.  I’m looking forward to a slow weekend for a change, one that involves lots of rest and lots of work on potholders. Oh, and finding the tax return so I can apply and get things rolling for school. That will make it official, and won’t allow me to chicken out anymore.  I also have managed to squeek by and not having homework to work on, which will do wonders for my sanity.

Have a beautiful 1st weekend of October.  In my world, it's officially time for fall now.

Randomness

Greetings Earthlings. I come in peace.

I hate Monday's. Even back in the good ole days when I didn't work, I still hated Monday. It meant that my husband had to go back to work and couldn't stay at home and hang out with me. Now that I work, Monday's still suck, just more, since I too, am going to work.

I had lots of "this is definitely going to be blogged about moments" this weekend, but now, I can't remember any of them. I really need to start writing things down, apparently my old age is creeping up on me.

I'm pretty sure that I am seriously addicted to Farmville, I got mad at my husband yesterday because he forgot to get on and feed his dog. I really need to find a self help group for this.

I would rather watch Friends on DVD than the season premieres of CSI. I missed Friday (New York) and Sunday (Miami) because I was watching Friends. I am also dreading the fact that I told my husband we would watch off the DVR tonight instead of Friends.

To be thankful that there are not penalties for screwing up your birthday resolutions. Because thankfully unfortunately, I have already falled off the wagon with a few of them. Perhaps I should have taken bets as to how long it would take me to get them all marked off my list.

To be considering writing a submission to a popular sex related blog regarding infertility and it's affects on your sex life. Feeling a little weird about putting my sex life on display like that. Thank goodness I'm already blogging anonymously.

To hope that this post isn't read by my mother or my father. To guess that they aren't thinking of my new career as a sex column writer as cool, and that in fact they are pretty horrified that I have now mentioned sex 4 times on this blog now.

My husband is a guy, as long as I don't name names, he will think it's cool. And even if he doesn't, if it gets me more readers, I don't mind pimping him out. (He is available for other blog promotions as well, just drop me a line for details.)

I'm farming on farmville at the same time I am writing this post.

I went grocery shopping this weekend, and spent an obscene amount of money. Yet when I got ready to fix my lunch last night, I discovered that there was carrots, red and green bell peppers, celery, asparagus, romaine lettuce, and cole slaw mix as my options.

To hope that my husband remember to get the leftover crab out of the freezer so that we can have crab stuffed steaks for dinner tonight.

To hope that he forgot, and that I can fix something simple, like a sandwich for dinner instead.

To wonder, why I only have bold, italic, strikeout, links, and quotes as my options to edit my posts. What happened to spell check? I need my spell check.

I told you I was going to post more often, so be prepared for less emotional, more random posts. You can show your gratitude by sending money, or gifts. Please email me for a pre-approved list.
